GoW 3 new combat mechanics -
On the fly switch weapons - The cestus imo is the best secondary weapon in the GoW series so far. This is a big improvement imo.
Ride-able creatures. Cyclops, Cerberus...
Items that don't consume magic. (Fire Bow, Helios Head, Hermes Shoes)
Sexy new combos - Grapple + Battering ram (theres probably more)
That may not be much, but who cares anyway ! There are battle on moving titans and the sense of scale is unsurpassed.
Oh and it is foolish to to think Bayonetta is even in the same league as GoW. GoW is so much better that its funny...
The only area Bayonetta can "pwn" GoW is the combat, and that too is not by much while GoW is so much better in terms of story, graphics, sense of scale, soundtrack, and by the looks of it, boss fights.
