Because the hardcore PC gamer is as irrelevant as the hardcore console gamer, but the hardcore console gamer is jealous of the hardcore pc gamer for being much cooler. This means the hardcore console gamer gets angry and attacks the hardcore PC gamer because of his own insecurities. Both are whiners when it comes down to it, and are irrelevant next to the unwashed masses of Farmville players.
