No, don't skip it.

I encourage you, play it, because its not an' RPG. its an action game. a really long action game.

is it true?is it more like an action game than boring talking/walking???

No it is not true....I'll tell you right now Spartan, 90% of the people in this thread giving you their "opinnions" of FFXIII have not even touched the game yet. I mean, half of them openly admited to not liking JRPG's in this thread, then went onto tell you the game is boring and cliche. The only people who gave an honest opinnion were those who told you they have not played it.

Personally, I played it. The game is deffinitley 1000000% an RPG. So if you really hate RPG's like you say you do, I suggest you don't play it. This is not an action game. This is not a hack n slash. This is an RPG...and if you listen to the bs people are feeding you in this thread, you will be dissapointed two minutes into the game.

Here's a definition of RPG's according to wiki:

"Generally, the player controls a small number of game characters, usually called a party, and achieves victory by completing a series of quests. Players explore a game world, while solving puzzles and engaging in tactical combat. A key feature of the genre is that characters grow in power and abilities, and characters are typically designed by the player. RPGs rarely challenge a player's physical coordination, with the exception of action role-playing games.[1]

These games usually have a highly developed story and setting, which is divided into a number of quests. Players control one or several characters by issuing commands, which is performed by the character at an effectiveness determined by that character's numeric attributes. These attributes increase each time a character gains a level, and a character's level goes up each time the player accumulates a certain amount of experience."[2]

So yeh...thats exactly what FFXIII is like....I personally love it but I'm a big fan of the genre. I hope you pick it up and give it a try as well, but I couldn't have let you do it based on false information and completely misleading lines like the one im quoting.
