After walking several laps around my apartment screaming angry ugly words at you, I have settled down and I am now content with saying that your opinion is wrong. I don't know how you managed to do that, as opinions are by definition cannot be wrong, but you did it anyway. I find Love to be the most beautiful game this generation, beating out amazing ones such as Machinarium, Darwinia, Geodefense, Braid and Blueberry Garden. Still think Shadow of the Colossus has it beat though. I like how it strives away from the generic look of videogames today, I like how the landscape is dreamy and edgy while not cluttered with detail. I like how you cannot get a grasp on how the characters actually look, because it makes you want to see how they actually look. The dreamy music also helps, of course. It puts a shimmer over the whole experience. In my mind, beautiful is the only word that could accurately describe it. |
Cause it simply looks ugly to me? :P While not really a game Linger in the shadows, okami, as someone mentioned before Flower, and Machinarium as you mentioned yourself looks better.
Like i said It looks interesting and I might pick it up when i found out some more....but It just...looks bleh. I enjoy the path's artstyle more....I just think this game looks Katamari damacy with a haze and film grain filter and instead of round trees, they at least have leaves.
Keep in mind this is coming from a guy who enjoys gritty artstyles and enjoys photography such as this

CURRENTLY PLAYING: Warframe, Witcher 2
