So even when i get the 8800GT i won't be able to run it on high smoothly??? Damn it!

It greatly depends on the resolution and AA settings you use with it, if you don't get too crazy then you will be able to play it at a very respectable level. And honestly the game looks decent at low, damn good at medium, amazing at high, and ungodly at very high. so you can't really go wrong as far as graphics are concerned...you just might not get all of the eyecandy available quite yet....but the game is still good and quite fun...especially that TAC gun.....hmmmm

Actually i think i am not that demanding when it comes to resolution and AA... i usually play my games @ 1024x768 with no AA. I reaaally hope it will be playable. On another note i don't know how the hell it's possible but i can run UT3 and GoW at medium with no lag at all and i still can't get BioShock to play without lag lol. I guess Epic knows how to optimize a PC game better?

Whoa with a GT at that resolution and no AA you should be able to play on high with little to no problems. There might be a few hiccups (rarely) in combat but otherwise you should be good to go.

Especially if you have the memory and CPU to back up the video card. Which looking at your previous posts in this thread I know your CPU is going to have a lot of fun and should be able to perform beautifully for you. As far as memory I would assume 2GB is fine but I am pretty sure all the machines I have seen run the game in person have had 4GB. This isn't to say it is required by any means just that it is the exten of my experience.

On the subject of memory my tests with the game have shown that it seems to max out the memory it needs at around 1.2 GB or so and keeping in mind system overhead and the like 2GB is presumeably enough to meet that requirement.

So all things considered the only pieces of your setup that I am unclear on at the moment is your sound setup and your monitor. I will say from experience having beat the game using a 5.1 system it is phenomenal and if you have the speakers you will enjoy the sound in this game. As far as monitor goes you should only need something decent capable of handling the kinds of resolutions that monitors have been pushing for years now.

PS - If you ever decide to go SLI I can tell you that you will have quite a treat in Crysis as it looks beyond georgous at very high in 1680x1050, unfortunately I only know from my friends computer (which I built for him) and it was running pretty smooth. I should also note that his SLI setup was using GTX's not GTs.
