okay, lets give it a quick .. kind of review.

At first, my beloved Motivation-Graph! :3

>1 Hr: The Game Starts off sweet, much Cinematics, nothing serious, but nice Eyecandy.

1-2 Hours: you feel kind of lost, because they dont tell you what to do exactly. (speaking with everyone helps..)

2-3 Hours: Sweet Location and some hilariously funny moments. (Lymle! :D)

3-4 Hours: A Boss, made to Frustrate you. (you know what i mean by trying. hint: his Mouth!)

5-6 Hours: Some Serious Information about whats going on, and a well designed definition of a Mothership.

7-9 Hours: Interresting Characters, and the Story starts to get you a bit more. yes, Geography can be interresting.

10-20 Hrs: The Combat opens up as more as your Party gains Strength, you learn about Chaining, deeper Tactics and so on.

21-28Hours: Some stupid incidents will show you some of the best locations i have seen so far in a Game, and so story gains strength. alot.*

* A LOT!

29-32: The Story takes a well needed break, but you are seeing some very interresting Conversations, even if they arent that relevant.

33-35: Star Ocean can give you more than just Fights and Story-Scenes. it'll show you here.

35-40: BAM! you get tons of IMPRESSIVE,a bit emotional CGI Sequences, but the following Dungeons arent that good, compared to the lovely Places before.

41-45: The End is coming closer, if you are quick, you'll see it here. compared to other big RPGs, it may be nothing THAT Special, but this inst just a Great RPG, it is Star Ocean, and i lost some Tears at the end.

46-49: You feel a bit lost, the Main Story is over, and you dont know what to do from now on, and if you Imagine how long it would take to obtain all the Trophys, you may puke. *gives you a Bag*

50-60: The Game Shows Brave Warriors that it contains yet great Things, for Example Funny Conversations, the Colliseum, additional Dungeons, and now obtainable Items.

61-63: If you tried Gabriel Celeste, Boss of the first additional Dungeon with Level 120 or under, you can fall into a state of depression. just as i did.

64-68: You use the Mechanics itself to optimize your Group, you're getting better Weapons, and up to level 255.

69-70: Gabriel Celeste dies after 30-40 Minutes of intense Combat, but then you realize what a Gimp you still are.

70-75: You have finally reached the full potential of your Group, when you start a fight, you cant see anything because you're hitting with 500+ Combos, containing Numbers of up to 99.999, just some seconds after a Battle Started. you feel just insanely Overpowered, so its eyecandy for your E-peen. :DD

+ 'Some' of the Story-Elements are Awesomesauce!

+ The planets feel alive, they're very well made.

+ very Symphatic Characters (and some are very unique)

+ Great Japanese Voice Acting!

+ Great Combat...

- ...But it takes much Time before it really opens up.

- More Anti-Aliasing would have been a good Idea.

- Facial Movement isnt always convincing.

- English Voice Acting sucks.

Graphics: 7/10

Sound: 8/10

Value: 8,5/10

Overall: Great!

A very original experience, even if it is not perfect, i cant do else than give it a place in my Heart.

wow that was cool review,im 17 hours in to it and i need to grind badly, getting raped by a boss constantly.
