Yeah, I'm hoping it takes more cues from the first Halo than the later ones. The first Halo gave you a ton of options, and the levels were quite expansive. Halo 2 felt much more like a corridor shooter than the first Halo, and I don't know about Halo 3 because all the campaign impressions I read turned me away from buying a 360 for it.

But yeah, Halo 2's campaign was way too straightforward, I can't recall any levels that were similar to Halo, Assault on the Control Room, The Truth and Reconciliation or The Silent Cartographer. I could play those levels over and over again, and every time it would feel different because I could use different strategies every time.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if Reach's campaign is similar to the first game's, I will probably buy a 360 (or at least the next Xbox) for it.
