If they want to have some good games on launch with new console then they would have to start developing games at least 3 years before launch. Even now 3-4 years is normal development time for HD games and I doubt it would get any shorter with next generation. So if they would launch next generation console this year, they should have started game development 2 years ago. So I doubt there is any chance that console could be launched this year (they could but it would have no games) and I doubt even next year.
