Yes the Wii has sold over 68million units but sells can only go so far. Alot of 3rd party developer say they dont make alot of money on Wii software sells. I think if the Sony arc is done right the wii needs to worry. I play my 360 and PS3 ever day the Wii not so much to much shoveware out there. |
While I'm not sure if Sony has the right mindset to make the Arc any threat to Nintendo I kinda hope they do. If Sony really goes hard at Nintendo with the motion controls I think Nintendo will have to step up there game is the areas there lacking. Mainly online and power.
However I don't see Sony doing the Arc right. First of all it wasen't just motion controls that sold Wii's. It was Wii fit and a very low price point. And if Sony just takes the Arc and adds it to "core" games there going to miss the boat and fail terribly.
But hey if theres one thing we have learned since 1995 its that Sony is GREAT at coping Nintendos idea's. So one things for sure Arc is going to be interesting and I hope it drives Nintendo to new hights.
