So like remote play on the PS3? ...

yeah except instead of one device compatability... remote play on any phone with windows and any laptop/PC

so kind of similar... just way better.

Well I don't know if you've ever used the PS3s remote play feature, but it's pretty poor. There's significant latency and data-loss in transmission. So whilst playing light games on your 360 / PC / Phone round the house may be... possible, whilst redundant. It's never really practical at long-distance.

I'm thinking the only real application of this will with apps and whatnot, so you could use the software on your computer on your phone, on a mobile device, but it's not really at present a viable means of gaming.

No, this isn't streaming what's on your computer to the phone and XBox360.  This is a native app to Windows, Windows Mobile and XBox360, all in one convenient project.  It's not OnLive, it's not Remote Play, it's literally the same game running on Windows, Windows Mobile and XBox360.

This is pretty cool.  Not mindblowing, but cool.  Obviously games will be limited to a degree by the least common denominator (Windows Mobile), but it's still a cool concept.

And not to derail the thread, but this is something Sony should have done a LONG time ago with the PSP and PS3.  Play PS1/PSP games on the PS3 and PSP and have the save data sync.  Would be awesome, but sadly, Sony seems shortsighted in instances like this.
