Will GT5 outsell Forza 3?

GTPSP will sell almost as many copies as Forza 3 Lifetime.
GT5 Prologue has sold more than twice as many copies as Forza 3 LTD.

Tell your friend this. GT5 will sell almost as many copies in Japan alone as Forza 3 has sold worldwide. First weeks sales (combined, incase of a separate launch), will eclipse Forza 3's total sales. GT games also have incredible legs, and I expect it to sell just as well on the PS3 and keep up its 50k+ games sold per week at least as long as MW2 did for PS3. It will be the without a shadow of a doubt the highest selling PS3 exclusive, and quite possibly the best selling game on the PS3 period, with sales approaching 10 million lifetime.

Also, I expect addon content to be massive. Polyphony is very very happy to embrace current gen technology with the ability to update and addon to the game. The vehicle count at the time of release will NOT be the final count. They may very well keep adding in newly released vehicles month after month until generation's end. Patches will release providing new versions of current cars, updated tracks, better sounds, more UI options, more menu content such as improved leaderboards.. etc.

In short, GT5 will be the largest and most supporting racing game of all time.
