false, every ps3 that used that particular chip were affected. But still, it only lasted 24 hours and only stopped you from playing trophy enabled games. Every other feature of the ps3 including non-trophy enabled games worked just as usual. I guess the clock went off, but thats no big deal, the front end clock could easily be reset.

Nope. You would be fine until you attempted to get a trophy I think.. then it would crash that game? not sure. Never happened to me. I have two PS3s, the media server downstairs was never turned on though. my slim in my game room was fine. But the day after we studied the code in school.
