I got a very similar feel when I played FFXIII. Some people are saying that JRPG's are always like this but you don't get points for staying in the past...

7 off production value? It kinda sucks when I here people taking visuals as such an important factor... This is a JRPG. Story, gameplay, characters- these are what's important.

Production values includes graphics, music, story and amount of polishing that goes into the game. Or at least that is what I mean when I said it in my post.
