After reading through a lot of these reviews, it seems like there are two types:
A) Reviewed for what the game acutally is (See 1up)
B) Reviewed for how it compares to other Final Fantasy's, RPG's (see Gamepro - he actually says "It's not the game I wanted it to be")
For me, I'm much more interested in the "Type A" reviews. It seems like ALMOST every negative in every review I've read is "It doesn't have this" or "It's supposed to do this"...not "It does this badly", or "This is poorly implemented". People need to review the game, not their own personal ideas of what they want out of it.
