See that's the thing...why would he break into Mrs. Bowles' house and save her then? And it's not like the game gives you the option to not save her. You have to save a braud who is killing herself because of something you did...it makes no sense whatsoever. If I were the killer I'd just walk out of there cause the only person who might know anything is too busy killing themselves.

All his anger and motivation is targetted towards the fathers of the children he kills and so there is no need for the mother to die. I expect he views his killings as some sort of necessity in trying to find a father who did what his could not and so probably doesn't see himself as a 'bad' person. So, in all other regards he probably tries to act in a just way and so in this instance saves the mother.
