So much CTR love is scary to me.
I will say that I will always like the original MK over MK 64, MK 64 was the superior version. When I was in Japan, one of class mates bought a N64 and a Japanese version of MK64. I would totally dominate everyone in my dorm, I would have to play down with my friends so they would play with me. I hate having to do that but it was worth it so that people would actually play with me. Oh the good times MK64 has provided for me.
Plus Toad has the coolest name in Japanese ever, Kinopio, it wasn't just some katakana'd version of Toad.
I played CTR a few times back in the day, only because maybe 2 of my friends owned a PS1 over a 64, so I would say MK64 for me.
