A friend thinking of getting a 360 or PS3, which one and what games?

I'm not looking for suggestions for me, I'm looking for games of a certain type because I'm just drawing a blank today.

Despite your well known antipathy for Kratos, I get the feeling that this friend of yours would probably like the idea of GoW if she saw a bit of the story.

I'm assuming, twesterm, that you will be recommending the Elite if you choose to recommend the 360, in which case price isn't a factor. Would anyone really recommend getting the Arcade? Is the difference in price worth the reduction in features (whatever they are, I don't know what they are other than no HDD)?
