FFXIV:ONLINE, what will make u play this game ?

As for me, its a day one buy. I still play Final Fantasy XI and I have real life friends playing it too.

I would never play it then.  Because I would know I was paying for each second I was on there.  Even if I was paying less than I would with a monthly fee, It would make me more aware of it and essentially ruin the whole gaming experience.  

I really hope they do do a one time fee - $199 seems like a good number to me, they probably stick 10k or so players per server.  I'm sure you that the maintenence and cost of a server wouldn't exceed 2 million :)

Then they make money off the x-packs
