Mass Effect is a kind of like a good book. It starts out slow, and then you're bored for a while. But then some good rising action comes up (Virmire) and then there's an awesome climax (the final planet, I won't post any spoilers), and then the ending is fantastic. People remember it fondoly because it ends on a high note. But once you start to replay it, it becomes worse and worse. Its gameplay isn't that amazing, and yeah, its technical issues need some work. Then again, it's Bioware. They get a free pass for fucking everything.
