I don't think they're more fun, but I think they're more important at the moment.

Motion controls don't drive me to play, complete, and replay games in ways I usually wouldn't.

If achevements meant things like free swag from MS or Sony...I'd be down.

But frankly, it seems like a waste of time to me. If one has only a few games to play, I see how it improves replay value, but for people that get a game every week or two...gathering achievements cuts in to the next great gaming experience.

I'm not out to convince you that you should love achievements since this is all opinion but even I can recognize that things I don't like are worthwhile or good (for instance, I despise MGS4 but recognize it's a good game).

And people that get a game every week I'm guess are in the minority.
