Funny how this study's results go against just about every pattern and precedent ever set by liberals: thinking with and acting on their emotions instead of logic...
"Going to war is mean, so we shouldn't do it."
"That person is poor and it would be nice to give him money, so the government should do it."
"Somebody wants to have an abortion, have a gay marriage, or wants to come into the U.S. illegally and it would be mean to say 'no,' so we should let them."
"I am a good person because I care about global warming."
"What's that? Those people want to kill us?! But... don't they know we're nice? If they did, they would like us!"
"Timmy has more toys money than Billy, so take half of Timmy's money and give it to Billy."
And of course, if you ever disagree with a liberal, it must be because you are a bigot, a racist, a homophobe, a Nazi, "religious", and/or ignorant. Not because you have a legitimate point of view.
Now, this is not to say that conservatives never make emotion-based arguments, or that emotion-based arguments are always wrong... but every time somebody has tried to solve a complex world issue by tip-toeing around everybody's feelings, either nothing has been accomplished or everything goes to hell in a hand basket.
