I don't know, things like the RRoD you can say shit happens.  Despite what people say, it isn't a guaranteed for every console.  This problem is a guaranteed for every person that owns a certain model.  That is an epic fuck-up, especially when it's something as simple as calculating the leap year.

Anyways, I'll be curious how they deliver this update.  The bug happens before you sign into the PSN which makes it so you can't sign into the PSN.  If you can't sign into the PSN, you can't download the update.

NOTE-- saying this is an epic fuck-up isn't me saying OMG BOYCOTT SONY!!!!1!!!, it's just a pretty giant fuck-up.  I'm pretty confindent they'll get it fixed within the next 24 hours, I'm just curious to see how they fix it and I'm curious to see what they're do to appease the angry masses of people.
