I dont think it will hurt anything. I am sorry you cant play your PS3 for a day or 2. That is a far cry from your XBOX 360 RROD and waiting the two weeks or longer it takes to get it back from Microsoft. So while people complain about RROD 360 still continues to outsell PS3 in USA.
