Spoilers obviously.
IMO an even bigger fail was Maddison falling in love with Ethan after like what, spending 3-4 hours with him, most of which was her bandaging him up and him telling her to get out of his room after she finishes up. The butterfly part was rather idiotic as well as there was no way Shelby could fit into the second smaller tunnel at the power plant, Ethan barely fit in there.
However the game gets big props for the Indiana Jones style fight with the Junk yard owner guy(think big german mechanic guy in Raiders), that was incredibly cool. Also Madison seeking cover from the explosion in the fridge was a nice nod to Indiana Jones too.
