Yes, because they have a different motherboard. I have CECHL too and mine works. I switched on and off and tried everything. I am pretty sure it will work. In the internets it says that those series are not affected.

I deleted the last link because there is just one post which is interesting:

 

"Why do people with units we know are not affected (READ: CECHL AND LATER) keep posting about their PS3s working properly?!

Based on what I read I am 100% sure that they work not once I have read that they dont work.
