ameratsu said: Something I should mention is that in Canada, new first party Wii games are now $60. So for example Heavy Rain launched at the same price as NSMBWii. The only price disparity for new games is with HD third party releases, which tend to be $60-70 where new third party Wii releases tend to be $50 or less. Edit: The amount of replay value a game has should have not make a game more expensive longer. Even the best games, even if they are made by Nintendo should cost less today than they did on launch in 2007 or 2008. When Sony was on top they reduced prices of their best selling games over time. When they or a third party offered a trilogy re-release of certain games on the ps2, it was usually $20-$30 not $50-60. |
A product is worth as much as the buyers willing to pay for.
That said, Nintendo titles continues to sell gangbuster and you want them to lower the price? Where's the logic in that?
And are you seroiusly want to compare NSMBWii and Heavy Rain?
Replay value has a lot to do with how long the price remain high. Think second hand market.
