A lot of people haven't played half-life 2?
Thats pretty laughable. Its sales have been huge!
Just going by vgchartz numbers. Its sold 4.13 million on the pc (which is an out of date number, it doesn't include steam sales either), 0.62 million on the xbox, 1.05 on teh 360 via the orange box, 0.22 on the ps3 version of the orange box. No pc numbers on the orange box are given.
Overall the games sold according to this website has sold 6.02 million copies (this includes packs that have other games in it aswell, specifically the orange box). Whilst some people (like myself) bought half-life 2 and the orange box aswell (thus decreasing how many individuals have played the game) thats still a lot of people. Overall the game has sold a lot more then that as the pc retail sales are out of date and it doesn't include steam sales and the retail pc orange box sales.
So the assumption that it hasn't been played by a lot of people is wrong and yes it is one of the greatest games ever released (let alone the episodes!).
