Nintendo games are just very polished and continues to sell with great legs. They don't need to hit the bargain bin.

You can buy it day 1 and knowing your purchase won't lose value years later.

While true, it sucks if you bought your Wii after these games have been out for 2-3 years and see they're still going for the same price. I have the firm belief that games should depreciate over time and it's frustrating that this isn't the case with Nintendo games. No player's choice titles this gen just adds to that frustration.

But why? It's not like the publishers decrease game prices for their health or due to some unwritten code. They lower game prices to move units, which again clearly is not the case.

(looks at OP's avatar): Klonoa remake on Wii. Should be well into the depths of the bargain bin by now, but it is there and rather excellent, from what i've heard.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
