I originally cancelled my preorder after the reviews hit, but then I started reading user reviews and bought the game anyway...and I love it. I'm not sure why reviewers were down on this game, although I suspect that the first horrible review by IGN (5.1 out of 10) influenced the rest of the "professional" reviews out there. When the metascore is 65/100 but the user reviews are 8.3/10 (a twenty point swing), you know there is enough disparity to give the game a try for yourself.
The online quests are so much fun that this game actually makes me want to buy a second PS3 so my wife and I can play together. Unfortunately, the reviews probably kept enough people away from this game for it to suffer a slow death with respect to online play.
