I agree they should be paid more, but c'mon. I live in the Northeast and it's 1100 per month just for rent. Compare that to 200-300 per month out west. I seem to be able to get by on 20,000/year so I don't know what they're complaining about.

Where is this out west you speak of?

Colorado.

I also just checked out SF Bay area and the rent for most places is cheaper than here.

If you're in a college city, then that's very low end. Trust me, I'm in Colorado and I just went through this. Granted, my city has higher prices than elsewhere, but $300 a month would be in a really crappy area. Like, you wouldn't feel safe living there.

I don't understand. Are you saying college city is low end? The average studio here is 1000$

I'm talking from experience in college cities. I admit that we have a lot lower rent here than that, but it's not $300 low. I just spent a month looking for an apartment, and the ones I found close to that were in really bad areas. College cities are high end is what I meant. Specifically my city. So I'm not sure about the rest of Colorado.

Oh, I'm just going off of what my gf's dad said the rent was. I think he lives in Aurora.

Now that you mention it, I think that is a bad area, isn't it.
