6.) The character's story/ back story needs to be really good
7.) An unpredictable character (optional)

KOS-MOS from Xenosaga (I just recently replayed Xenosaga: Episode 1, I can't believe I forgot how AWESOME she was)
Asch from Tales of the Abyss (Fantastic back story)
Fei from Xenogears (BADASS fighting style and a AMAZING back story)
Laharl from Disgaea 1 (Original and very funny)
Etna from Disgaea 1 (Same as Laharl)
Ovan from Hack G.U. (I love his story)
