(Yes, I know it's a single point of data, but it's my own; we tend to believe most what we see ourselves.) We've gone through 4 PS1s, and are on the the 3rd PS2. (We have another brand new PS2 in the closet for when the current one dies.) The higher price of the PS3, coupled with the higher proportion of people reporting failures this gen, has effectively scared us off. And while we were scared with the 360 also, enough games coupled with a cheaper price and a 3-year warranty are why we went with it, and it's why also, only the exclusives for the PS3 can be considered to getting it. That aside, the migration of most of the good RPGs to the portable market means I will be looking harder at any console purchase next gen. With the exception of the early spurt of 360 RPGs (which is what pushed us over), there have been too few RPGs for my taste for any home console. And the funny thing is, Sony is sitting on a few RPG names themselves, like Wild Arms and Legend of the Dragoon. If Sony starts releasing new ones of these for the PS3, then I might take another look... |
that's fair enough dunno,the PS3 is not cheap,
you say good rpg's,don't you think there are quite alot of rpg's out at the moment,it seem's like loads to me,
i'm just finishing valkyia chronicles and playing demons souls,then there is the star ocean international one,WKC,ROF,FFXIII.TLR,ME2,DAO and a couple of ones i can't spell or remember like that ar tonelico,let alone the oblivions,fall outs,sacreds and fables
what ones are you into,is it the monster hunters,dragon quests and pokemons,which i know nothing about but can only assume they are some form of rpg's,
haha,i think no one can complain about a lack of rpg's after that list,that lot would keep you in the house for about 3 years solid,probably more
