Forgive me if I confused who was saying what. But I was just responding to some points, irregardless of who posted it.
As for the quote:
The console sells fantastically well regardless of the titles available for it. Consider that a moment. No matter what games are released, or what titles the system has in North America, and in Europe the console will sell fantastically. Remove the core AAA games, and the sales do not even budge downwards. Nintendo only delivered two of their three big titles for the year, and one of those wasn't exactly smoking. No third party developer has even given the console a major title this year. Still the console sells well.
I actually agree with this quote. So if Naznatips said this, I actually agree.
My point is, from the original thread title, that from the perspective of a 3rd Party Publisher, the CEO's opinion is valid, given that the sales of 3rd Party Wii games have not been so great.
All the AAA titles for Wii are made by Nintendo and most of the successful games are Nintendo games.
So as a 3rd Party publisher, this may "scare" you if you do make a game for the Wii. Because based on past numbers, the chances of selling a ton of games hasn't been there.
Of course, the future or a new game would always be different. But I am just saying that the CEO's quote has some point and logic to it - again as a 3rd Party Publisher.
