DrDread said: Having a Hi-Def game come out at only 720p IS DISAPPOINTING and it IS a good argument for not wanting to buy it. You wouldn't buy a $20 BluRay movie that was at 720p. You wouldn't pay full price $12 for a movie that was only in Stereo sound. We pay big bucks for 1080p 5.1 Dolby surround entertainement systems so we excpect our $600 gaming systems to be able to play our $60 game titles at full capability. |
You should do some research. 1080P is STANDARD for Blu-rays however, lossless audio has not always been standard, look at older blu ray releases from warner bros. many didnt have lossless audio, sure its capable it can be done but they didnt have it. look at releases in theater of 3D, its a huge hit among consumers, but people still see, enjoy and love 2D movies. Your talking about standards set for things and applying them to this situation where 1080p and 60 fps is by no means at all standard.
So why do you even game this generation if every single game that exists is disappointing to you?
