About the mid 90's.  Have you seen comics lately?

They rip corpses in half, peoples are decapitated, having limbs cut off, on screen though covered sex scenes, death, suicide, stories about rape.

 

The mainstream Marvel universe is NOT a safe place for kids.

Lame. There used to be special brands for mature comics, like Vertigo. Sounds like all that's left for young'uns is soulless, rehashed Archie comics. Must be hard to get into comics when there's nothing to bridge the gap between Casper and Sandman.

Well they do make "kids" versions of comics... though i hear they're mostly very lame outside of the ones based on the Justice League cartoon.

 

Your still fairly safe if you stick tamer people like spiderman too... well until he gets pulled into a GIANT MEGA CROSSOVER which seems to happen once every 6 months or so... or someone just decides to be a jerk.

It is pretty lame though.
