Oh, and like I always try to say in these subjective threads, the OP has to establish a list of his criteria in what constitutes a "lame" character.

Once we're all on the same page (knowing what the criteria the OP has) then we can argue if indeed, the character does have those lame characteristics, or not. And after that's established, we can debate about the merits of the criteria.
