Its not just the graphics, which were fucking awesome. It was the whole scale of the thing..did you even watch the video ? goddammit its the most impressive thing I've seen in a video game..Kratos looks like a pea compared to a titan..

 

Everything became epic scaled these days, (thats thanks to God Of War 1 ) , so if it aims to impress it needs something different. something different from Ninja Gaiden , Dante's Inferno ...ect ect, Bayonetta KINDA did it. we will see if GoW can do it again.

Those games have the combat, God of War has the complete package.

GoW 3 > Bayonetta Metacritic, most probably

Besides, GoW 3 does something different, called battles on moving titans..if that isnt impressive enough for you, idk what will be..Bayonetta, DMC and NG have amazing combat systems, but they are lacking in other areas imo..

GoW III has a brilliant combat system, with revamped secondary weapons and magic, an awesome story and unmatched scale...Its the king of the genre. No doubt about it.
