Thank you, DrDread, for understanding. You are indeed a glimmering hope for humanity in my eyes. Raistline, I understand what you are saying as well. The point, however, is that Sony promised suckers like me that 1080p is "next generation" and "next generation starts when we say so" so I went out and bought a (Sony) 1080p tv only to find that I have little to no content on it. From the beginning we were promised GOW3 at 1080p@60. Sure it could run at 1080p@60 and look like crap, and then there'd be other legitimate points of concern. We were promised both great looking games and full capability, and we are not getting it. While I've forgiven 3rd companies for lack of 1080p content and even 1st-2nd party titles that were not telling us one thing and delivering another, there is simply no excuse to build a system up that much and fail to deliver.

That being said, PS3 is still my platform of choice because (as I've said in another post) I don't do PC gaming. (No fault of any one company, it just isn't for me.) I also like the 360, however I lean towards PS3 because I find the controller more comfortable. So unless a multi-plat release is leagues better on the 360 I'll get it on the ps3 instead.

I apologize to all for not getting my point across properly. I think GOW3 will be an awesome game. I just can't bring myself to buy it with such disappointment at this time. When it's in the bargain bin I'll pick it up.

So even though the graphics look like the best this generation has to offer BAR NONE... you're gonna get it in the bargain bin because it's not native 1080p? Just for that?

This is great news because I believe I have a solution to your dilemma. Get the game, take a sharpe marker, and do a little black out work. Additionally, you can put some white out over the sharpee mark and write '1080p'.

There you go, now it's in 1080p and you won't be able to tell the difference. Problem solved
