Yeah, that list was compiled from a bunch of their editors. The games while good are all over the place. My personal list

10. Dragon Age: Origins (great world development)
9.  Skies of Arcardia (a real gem that most missed)
8.  Final Fantasy X (this one was my favorite)
7.  World of Warcraft (WoW is just alot of fun)
6.  Jeanne D' Arc (best reason to own a PSP)(great game that few have played)
5.  Knights of the Old Republic (the only Star wars game that I like)
4.  Valkyria Chronicles (just a great game)
3.  Baldur's Gate 2 (Some of the saying I still remember)
2.  Mass Effect (first truly great Sci fi rpg that I have played)
1.  Diablo 2 (just amazing at interesting and varied the game was)

shows alot more leanings towards Wrpgs and Srpgs. I would expect alot more Jrpgs from most users on this site.

Mine would be like this:

10 - Final Fantasy XII

9- Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne 

8 - Kingdom Hearts 2

7 - Grandia

6 - Shadow Hearts

5 - Planescape Torment

4 - Lost Odyssey

3 - Persona 4 

2 - Diablo 2 

1 - Demon's Souls (If I can't count Demon's Souls, then I would put Diablo 2 on number 1 and put at number 10 Oblivio

10 - Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne 

9 - Kingdom Hearts 2

8 - Grandia

7 - Shadow Hearts
6 - Fallout 2 

5 - Planescape Torment

4 - Lost Odyssey

3 - Persona 4 
2 - Baldur's Gate 2 

1 - Diablo 2 

I know that my list is more JRPG focused than WRPG focused, but it being a Top 10 is very limitative. If it was a top 20, almost all other spots would be taken by WRPG's like KOTOR, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Titan Quest, Mass Effect and Dragon Age Origins.

Edit - I haven't put Demon's Souls in there, because i'm using RPG's that were launched on Europe exclusively, that's why I have Grandia listed in there. If I can use Demon's Souls as well, It would go to number 1 xD 

Yeah, Demon Souls is one that I have not tried out yet. What game would you say most resembles Demon Souls? I am thinking about picking up a copy.

That's the thing, Demon's Souls doesn't fit the molds of either WRPG or JRPG. In terms of gameplay, it's pondered fluid action mechanic has been seen before in games like Kingdom Hearts, King's Field and The Summoner, but it's character evolution, item management and stats management it's more similar to a WRPG game like Diablo. 

I would put a comparison of Demon's Souls to the original Diablo if you could play the original Diablo as an action RPG game.
