Doubtless they're capable of more, but then, why buy one now if you'll never use anything that takes advantage of its full capabilities? In two years when game engines start to really take advantage of hyperthreading a CPU as powerful as the i7-920 will have likely dropped to the $100 range, and won't require lock-in with expensive mobos and triple-channel RAM.

Not to mention, it'll be obsolete anyhow.
