Or rather were.  Now it's still Canada believe it or not.  One only needs to look at the credentials gulf between the two squads.

And the credential gulf between Swiss and Canada ? or Russia Slovakia.

What went wrong there. 

The Swiss played a "total defensive game" which aims just for a draw.  It worked on Canada... and would of worked on the US had the US first goal not been a lucky one which came after a lot of chaos breaking the US way.

When Hockey and Soccer teams decide to give up on scoring, it's more luck than skill that ends up breaking the deadlock.
