I'm happy with my Phenom II.

Since I bought it in July though, it's come down in price by like 130$, though. >_> Luckily I got a 60$ off combo between it and my motherboard.

luckily the Sempron 140 I'm looking to buy won't drop a cent before it goes off the market Then again, I'm shopping for a super cheap, super low power HTPC. The other nice thing is if I do need the extra power the Sempron 140 can be unlocked to essentially a Athlon II X2 240 Regor. If it wasn't for the $20 coupon for the Sempron 140 it wouldn't make sense to risk the lower power option.

Anyways, I clicked Athlon II even though I don't have one

Why would you buy that? <_<  Unless it's something like a low-power fileserver, there's absolutely no application in 2010 for a single-core CPU.

You should at least get the lowest dual-core Athlon.
