All right, I just watched a Boom Chicago production (Dutch) sort of threatening the Dutch while making jokes on Germans and I dunno where I stand. First of all, I had hoped my fellow countrymen were a little more level-headed instead of jumping on that post a comment. I mean, Boom Chicago AMSTERDAM is at the fucking end.

Any retard should see that it's basically one big mocking of stereotypical ideas about Germans. Digging holes in the beaches, the fact that my grandfa's bike is probably either now in the Rhine turned to rust, or part of a tank in a museum etc...

Mentioning Rotterdam was hilarious though. I don't know if the Germans are taught this during their history-classes (I'm certain the Americans aren't) so I'll give a bit of background (you can stop reading now if you're not into history and don't want to see the Germans get slammed further.)

When Holland was invaded, the German army met little real resistance. A contingent of the invading forces were stopped at the "Afsluitdijk" north of the Zuiderzee. But the bulk of the German forces pushed through the main defense line in the middle of the country, a forresty plane called the Veluwe. The remaining Dutch forces kep fighting squad-based, guarilla style but by pushing through the lines the Germans had opened up the way to the major cities of Rotterdam, The Hague and Amsterdam. Sick of fighting they threatened to bomb the three cities if the Netherlands wouldn't surrender in three hours.

There was too little time to evacuate and no way we could stop their panzers anyway so after about 2 hours, the Dutch signed surrender 5 days after the invasion. 1 hour and 15 minutes after surrendering, a squadron of German bombers appeared over Rotterdam, releasing incindiary bombs destroying the centre of the city (mind you, most of the buildings had wooden frames). The city kept burning for a week killing hundreds.

It's one of those war-things that still stings besides the Razzia's. It also made Rotterdam one of the ugliest cities in the Netherlands.
