SDK footprint and devkit are two differents things. Dev kit has extra memory for developpement reasons. When u start coding u have a "running" code wich is not optimized but u can already run the engine basics, then further into the developpement u make it "efficient" to fit in the real thing.


70MB is for the entire reduction since lauch (wich is already huge) but not the latest. Last sdk (firmware for developpers) gained 12MB. Though it could make some difference for some borderline games performance wise (framerate/tearing issues for example,..)
