^^^I'm not talking about the demo scene. I'm talking about the convenience store. The difference between "Get out of here and go to your family" and "Oh shit! He shot that guy in the head!" There are times when there is little or no consequence. Then, there are times when the whole story changes because you looked inside of a closet instead of under a bed. It's amazing.

Oh, and I played the demo repeatedly. I was disappointed at first. Even in the real game, I got some different results from choices I made in the demo.

I think the problem with the demo is that it doesn't have enough scenes to see how things can change based on your actions.  Sure you can just leave and not help the hooker, but that doesn't seem like a meaningful choice unless you see how that affects the game as a whole.  Of course if they added enough scenes to see the changes in the overall story it would probably be revealing too much for a demo so I don't think they should've done this, I just think that alot of people are coming away from the demo thinking your choices don't matter at all because they're only able to look at a single scene.

Yeah, I left without helping that hooker in the demo just to see what would happen.  She screamed while I walked away.  "Lame", I thought.  In the real game, the differences in your choices (maybe not that particular scene, though) carry much more weight.  And you see the results of making the wrong choice.  Plus, most of the times, NONE of your choices are going to end up in a good way.  This game really messes with you and your sense of morality.  Plus, as an ex-cop myself, I did some things that I would actually do in real life in this game.  It didn't turn out so well.......(and I'm not talking about the sleazy hotel OR the convenience store......).
