If I knew half of the things I saw in Heavy Rain before hand, I'd be really pissed. That game (for me) is mindblowing.
I think spoilers killed MGS4 for me. Konami's own trailers spoiled: Snake being old, Sunny being Olga's daughter, Raiden vs. Vamp's fight, "Big Mama", Ocelot's "Guns of the Patriots", Raiden being a robo-ninja, and probably a ton of other "Oh shit, this is a cool surprise!" moments. And, if I somehow missed the online trailers, I got a pre-order disc that showed even more spoilers. AND IF THAT wasn't enough, a group called ANONYMOUS posted even more spoilers on my VGChartz profile wall.
Games like Mass Effect, MGS, Heavy Rain, and Assassins Creed 2 are very rare. People look forward to them and won't get another chance to truly experience the story for years, if ever. Spoiling this for a gamer (not just a Playstation gamer) is one of the worst crimes that a gamer can commit.
