As quite possibly the biggest Alice Cooper fan on this site, let me elaborate.

Alice Cooper, being the incredible genius that he was, wrote a lot of different types of songs. But he meant for Poison to be in the genre that is so signature to him: Electric, powerful, dangerous, scathing, venomous, fuck...I'm running out of adjectives. It's supposed to be shocking, basically. While not all of his songs are like that (some of his best are more romantic, actually, such as You and Me), Poison was meant to be that type of song. Making a cover like that is like covering Satisfaction in Hip Hop.
