Definitely a good time to get one now. The Jasper chipset 360s use a lot less energy and generate less heat. They are pretty reliable. And of course you get the 3 year RRoD and e74 warranties in case something props up. My only concern with the 360 warranty is if you get an error that isn't RRoD or e74. You could work around that issue by "inducing RRoD" so that you can get M$ to ship you a new console though. lol. (I think they use a towel method or something) RRoD and e74 are covered for 3 years but the others are covered for only 1 year. Make sure to install games to your hard drive to minimize chances of a disk read error problem (though apparently Garnett's RE5 360 had a DRE problem even though he uses HD installs. That might be a "lemon in every 100" issue though.) I think that might be the most common error outside of RRoD and e74. I'm afraid I'm not too familiar with the other errors that require repair.
