Amsterdam, Netherlands here.
Like: The transportation system, the buildings, the general cleanliness, the culture/musea, the liberal attitude towards EVERYTHING, the night life, queensday and the ladies.
Dislike: Tourists who can't keep pace, The constant construction in the centre (honestly, since I started to go to the university when I was 18 I haven't seen the central station without cranes, scaffolding and fences), general stoïcism of the inhabitants as a result of the liberal attitude.
The last one needs some explaining. Basically the liberal attitude comes forth from a "if you do what you like and it doesn't bother me, go ahead" philosophy. The result is that people hardly care for what others do around them. I've broken up a couple of fights since I came here while most people were either onlookers or tried to ignore it. And that is rather shameful.
