I wasn't very excited to play this game but I was going to give it a go sooner or later just because it's Final Fantasy.
I'm reconsidering that stance right now. They're going the exact WRONG WAY with this franchise. I didn't care for the linearity of the storylines of old FF games but there was enough good stuff about the franchise that I kept coming back. They've removed almost all of the stuff that kept me coming back. I DO NOT want to play a Final Fantasy game that plays like a glorified version of Eternal Sonata as far as story progression goes.
Ugh, that article just made me a little nauseous.
